Executive Consultant

Position Summary

An executive consultant is responsible for generating revenue growth and developing strategic client partnerships by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business. Responsible for growing and maintaining business relationships through planning, managing, and executing high-impact activities that showcase the firm’s capabilities and brand to external organizations and prospective clients. She/he should represent and market the firm at and in highly visible events that target identified prospective clients.  An executive consultant provides input to the firm’s strategic and operational direction related to the area or industry of expertise. She/he partners with the firm’s executive team; especially sales and marketing, to provide input and recommend actions that advance the firm’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in a Senior Executive role; responsibility as “C” level executive for 5+ years. 

  • Operational knowledge/expertise (services/products/industry) at the “C” level, which includes managing P&L. 

  • Experience negotiating complex business deals, which includes a proven ability to sell integrated solutions. 

  • Consultative selling and solutions experience that qualifies prospective clients, overcoming objections and identifying clients’ specific needs or current “pain points”.  

  • Ability to craft and communicate a complex value proposition, which directly impacts the prospective client’s business. 

  • Relationship creation abilities; leverage personal extensive professional network relationships in support of sales. 

  • Ability to work in a highly distributed team environment to effectively deliver sales, client results, and client satisfaction.
